As an ALTA Certified Academic Language Therapist, I’ll deliver diagnostic baseline assessments and tailored, structured multi-sensory interventions for preschool and school-age children experiencing reading and language disorders or delays. Auditory Drills: Tuning the ears to distinguish and understand sounds is crucial. The auditory exercises are designed to enhance this ability, laying the foundation for better phonetic understanding.
RAN - Rapid Automatic Naming Exercises: These exercises are akin to a mini-workout for the brain, helping to boost the speed and accuracy with which children recognize and name familiar items.
Fluency Reading: Reading is not just about recognizing words but doing so smoothly and confidently. Fluency reading exercises aim to make reading second nature to your child.
High Frequency Work: Familiarity with common words can significantly boost a child's confidence and reading speed. I’ll help them master these high-frequency words, making reading more fluid.
Listening Comprehension: Understanding is as essential as reading. I’ll engage children in activities that not only test their listening skills but also enhance their ability to comprehend and internalize what they hear.
Cursive or Print Letter Formation: Whether it's the flowing art of cursive or the structured form of print, I’ll guide your child in mastering the art of writing, making it an extension of their thoughts.
Post the initial baseline assessment, a clear roadmap for your child's journey is charted out. They receive a meticulously organized binder, color-coded by sections. This isn't just a tool; it's a testament to their journey, allowing both you and your child to track the information covered and witness their blossoming progress.
